Diana finds joy in sharing the vitality of her Latin@ culture through dance. Currently studying Afro-Cuban folkloric dance with Donna Oefinger, artistic director of Axé Dide Dance Company, she also performs with Bremoné, a site-specific dance company.
Her previous dance training includes workshops in Havana with Danza Contemporanea de Cuba, in Los Angeles with Danielle Agami / Ate9 Dance Company, in Oakland with AXIS Dance Company, in San Francisco with Holly Johnston, and in Portland with IMAGO Theater.
Diana earned her B.A. in Art and Urban Education from Santa Clara University, where she studied jazz, modern and Afro-Haitian dance. Diana has called Portland home since 2011 and is grateful to participate in this city’s vibrant dance community.
