Newmark Theatre
Our 2019-20 season opens with an evening of riveting works — a world premiere from audience favorite Patrick Delcroix, the return of the thought-provoking Ensemble for Somnambulists by Luca Veggetti, and Resident Choreographer Ihsan Rustem’s humorous and dazzling Le Fil Rouge.

WINTER
DEC 12 – 14 / 2019 / 7:30PM
Lincoln Performance Hall
In Good Company / World Premieres
A holiday season favorite perfect for the entire family. Revel in new works conceived and crafted by NW Dance Project’s own talented company dancers, and as a special bonus, Resident Choreographer Ihsan Rustem will contribute a delightful new gem.

SPRING
APR 23 – 25 / 2020 / 7:30PM
Newmark Theatre
The Rite of Spring / World Premiere – Ihsan Rustem
Resident Choreographer Ihsan Rustem takes on Stravinsky’s acclaimed and iconic score, The Rite of Spring, considered the most renowned composition of the 20th century and described as having “the effect of an explosion that so scattered the elements of musical language that they could never again be put together as before.”
+
Woolf Papers – Sarah Slipper
Inspired by Virginia Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway, Artistic Director Sarah Slipper’s inspired reinvention of the classic novel is a testament to the power and glory of dance — provocative, theatrical, and deeply moving.

SUMMER
JUN 11 – 13 / 2020 / 7:30PM
Lincoln Performance Hall
Experience a captivating evening of new dance. Two fresh creative voices will be introduced to Portland audiences — Amos Ben-Tal, an Israeli choreographer and musician based in The Netherlands; as well as choreographer, artist, and poet Serge Bennathan, who has made an indelible mark on the Canadian dance scene.
