Morgan grew up in Jackson, Wyoming where a passion for the arts, fitness, and outdoors are a lifestyle. She began her dance training at the age of five at Dancers’ Workshop under Artistic Director Babs Case. Morgan primarily trained in ballet, modern, jazz, pointe, hip-hop, and pilates and was invited to become a member of Dancers’ Workshop’s Junior Repertory Company at age eleven and studied and performed with the company for seven years. Dancers’ Workshop provided the opportunity to learn from many notable dancers and companies including Alonzo King, Alexandra Damiani, Benjamin Millepied, Elisa Monte Dance Company, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, New York City Ballet, and Diavolo Dance Theater. Morgan competed as a varsity member of the Jackson Hole High School Dance Team for four years and served as a captain her senior year. Her summer dance studies included intensives with Ballet West and Backhausdance. Morgan graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a concentration in Nutrition and Performance. Teaching children and teens in a multitude of genres in Orange County, CA ignited a passion for teaching dance. Morgan recently relocated to Portland and is excited to join the faculty at NW Dance Project and hopes to share her love of dance with her students in a positive environment.
