Launching into our 23rd season, we'll keep up our mission to MOVE DANCE FORWARD with TWO WORLD PREMIERES and the return of a fan favorite, The Other Half of We, from Artistic Director Sarah Slipper.
Beloved Ihsan Rustem will create a new work for the company alongside a premiere from rising choreographer Akira Uchida whose vibrant creative voice traverses between the concert and commercial dance scenes of Los Angeles and New York.
Sarah Slipper's cinematic duet, The Other Half of We, which premiered in 2023, is inspired by American playwright Edward Albee’s Marriage Play depicting a couple stuck in a cycle of dysfunction. Get silly, sentimental, sassy and everything in between at our annual holiday celebration IN GOOD COMPANY. A Portland dance holiday tradition, our annual in-studio holiday show is conceived, choreographed, and created by our company dancers themselves!
And as a special treat, our Young Creatives PRO TRACK company students will take part in our Dec 12+13 shows, performing a new work from NW Dance Project Faculty Adrianna Audoma.

Ihsan Rustem's LINGER will take you where rock-n-roll meets contemporary dance with his up-beat work set to a medley of your favorite songs by The Cranberries.
We're bringing some sparkle and flare to the stage with the return of Nicole Von Arx's GLIMMERS.
Robyn Mineko Williams, will create her first original work with NW Dance Project, a collaboration that has been in the works sine Robyn won our Pretty Creatives competition in 2012!
To wrap up our season we are back to our roots with TWO PREMIERES, the JA Collective, an acclaimed award-winning LA-based director and choreographer duo, will create their first original work on the company.
Local luminary + Princess Grace Award winner, Andrea Parson will create a new work combining dance, theatrics, and comedy in a classic "Whodunit" mystery inspired by Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.
