Ching Ching Wong

Ching Ching Wong was born in Manila, Philippines, but calls southern California her home. She began her dance training at Allegria Dance Theater under the direction of Alia Harlan. She received her B.F.A. in Dance Performance and minor in Education and Psychology & Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine. During her UCI days, she was a member of Donald McKayle’s Etude Ensemble. Ching Ching has danced original roles in NW Dance Project works by Sarah Slipper, Didy Veldman, Patrick Delcroix, Wen Wei Wang, Ihsan Rustem, Lucas Crandall, Alex Soares, Pedro Dias, Noam Gagnon, Gregory Dolbashian, Loni Landon, Yin Yue, Jiri Pokorny, Rachel Erdos, Carla Mann, Tracey Durbin, Minh Tran, and more. She has been profiled in Northwest publications including Metro Parent, Willamette Week and Portland Monthly. In August 2015, Ching Ching was one of only six dancers in the U.S. to win a Princess Grace Award for Dance. Ching Ching was named one of Dance Magazine‘s “25 To Watch” for 2017.
