NW Dance Project seeks to immediately fill our Education and Outreach Coordinator position. This is a full-time, salaried, fully benefitted (100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance + employer-matched 401k, PTO) position supported by and supporting multiple experienced team members. Some weekend and/or evening work required.
Job duties, activities, and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Develop,
refine, schedule, and coordinate multifaceted adult and youth dance education
and training programming
Interface with Portland-area schools and youth service providers to develop,
coordinate, and facilitate dance outreach and “pull-in” classes, programs, and
activities
Secure, train, and supervise dance instructors
Secure and schedule ballet class accompanists
Schedule and coordinate annual audition tour schedules
Liaison with Portland Community College’s Continuing Education partner programs
Plan, coordinate, develop, and manage class marketing and social media
initiatives
Develop and maintain mastery of various student, patron, and other databases
and functional platforms
Assist in supervising front desk staff and perform general administrative
duties
Support special activities and events with entire NW Dance Project team
Requirements / Desired Attributes and Abilities:
Bachelor’s
degree or beyond (or work experience equivalent)
Ample and robust dance training, participation, and instruction history
2-3 years administrative experience, preferably in non-profit and/or arts
sector
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Highly organized and resourceful
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a
fast-paced, resource-scarce environment
Conflict negotiation and resolution skills
Ability to be both self-directed and to work in differently-sized teams
Detail-oriented and innovative problem-solver
Sense of humor and respectful nature

Annual Salary Range: $42,000 - $52,000 (based on experience, education level, skill sets, etc)
