EXPECTATIONS + POLICIES

DANCERS

Dancers are expected to treat their peers, staff, and the facility with the utmost respect. Parents will be consulted if a student is exhibiting poor behavior.

Cell phones are required to be always turned off while the student is in the studio.

Dancers are responsible for keeping track of their belongings.

Dancers should bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class. We do not provide cups for water.

Food and drinks, except water, are restricted to the lobby only.

Students should ask teachers or staff to adjust blinds and should not touch mirrors or swing/hang on ballet barres.

ATTENDANCE

Dancers are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of class. Punctuality and attendance is critical to consistent progress and advancement. Students who are consistently late or absent may be asked to withdraw from the class without refund. Students may not enter class late or leave early without the teacher’s consent.

Dancers are approved to miss two classes per term (fall, winter, spring). More than two absences could affect performance opportunities.

If a student becomes ill or injured and cannot attend class, they should notify the office of their absence.

In the event that your dancer becomes injured, it is expected that they continue attending class to observe and take notes in a notebook.

There will be no makeup classes offered for absences.

PARENTS

Our lobby is closed to observation during class time. Parents/guardians are welcome to come in and drop off dancers prior to the start of class, but we ask that they do not watch class as this can be distracting and make other dancers uncomfortable. The lobby will open 5 minutes prior to the end of class for pick up.

Videoing or taking photos during class time is not allowed.
