Bee Fadden was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. They started dancing when they were only two years old and quickly fell in love with the art. They started with ballet then branched out to study contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop as well. Throughout high school, Bee was on a competition and performance team as well as an assistant teacher in the younger classes. For many years, they helped out with Creative Movement and Preschool Ballet classes before graduating high school and teaching more classes on their own. They now teach all ages of kids and adults from toddlers ages 1-2 all the way to adults 80+. After graduating high school, Bee also began taking aerial classes at Echo Theater. They took classes on silks, trapeze, lyra, harness, sling, rope, straps, and many other invented apparatuses. They performed a silks solo as well as a harness piece after only three months of training. They have since performed many times in Echo Theater’s student showcases as well as in Common Thread’s shows. This year, they are part of Echo Theater’s adult aerial training program as well as their adult performance company, Common Thread. Bee also dances with ELXR Dance Company and TripTheDark and has danced in their shows the last couple years. Bee participated in NW Dance Project’s 2024 Summer Dance Platform and has also been taking their adult ballet and contemporary classes. This year, Bee is teaching Contemporary 1A here at NW Dance Project.
