Brianna Sundquist

Brianna "Bri" Sundquist is a Portland based movement artist and dance instructor. She started dancing at the age of three, immersing herself from an early age in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and aerial. In 2023 she earned a Bachelor of Science in Dance and Psychology, and a certification in dance instruction, from the University of Oregon. While at the university she trained under esteemed faculty members such as Walter Kennedy, Brad Garner, and Shannon Mockli. Bri had the opportunity to perform works by various faculty members and guest artists, as well as material from Bella Lewitzky's repertoire set by Kennedy. Outside of performance and research, she developed a love for composition and production elements. Two of her choreographic works, gah! (2022) and thunk? (2023), were selected by faculty and presented at the American College Dance Association Conference. During her final year she was honored with the “Outstanding Dance Major” award for her contributions as president of the student organization, Dance Oregon, and for her ongoing dedication to research and creative development. She continues to expand her movement vocabulary and most recently performed with A-WOL Dance Collective in their annual “Art in the Dark” show for a third year!
