Maria Tucker has been performing, teaching, collaborating, and creating for more than 20 years. She received scholarships to Gus Giordano Dance Chicago and the University of Arizona School of Dance. In addition to the Giordano technique, she has studied the styles of jazz dance greats such as Luigi, Joe Tremaine, Frank Hatchett and Patsy Swayze. Her choreography has been nominated for a Pike’s Peak Arts Council Award for Excellence and she was a finalist for a 2016 Drammy Award. Other choreographic and teaching credits include Colorado Jazz Dance Company, Multnomah Athletic Club, Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Busch Gardens, Royal Caribbean Productions and Broadway Rose Theatre Company.
