Company Dancers

NW Dance Project is seeking a male dancer to join us for our 2022-23 season

NW Dance Project is dedicated to the creation and performance of innovative, new contemporary dance works from established and emerging dance makers created in an open and artistically stimulating environment. We are looking for experienced soloist dancers interested in a diverse collaborative environment that focuses on the innovation and creation of contemporary dance. Artists should have a strong classical and contemporary background, professional performance experience, and passion for the creative process.

QUALIFICATIONS

NW Dance Project is seeking male dancers with a minimum of 3 years of professional company experience

Dancers must be available to start AUG 15 / 2022

Preference will be given to mid-career professional dancers

BIPOC dancers are highly encouraged to apply

Dancers must be legally eligible to work in the USA

AUDITION PROCESS

Dancers will be selected through a pre-application process.

The live audition process is by INVITATION ONLY and will be contacted via email if selected for an in-person audition.

Invited dancers should be prepared to come to Portland for a week-long process during JULY 2022.

Our plan is to invite potential candidates so we can really see individuals move.

  • photo of COVID-19 vaccination card (required to be up-to-date vaccinated to be considered)
  • video link of contemporary work (maximum 5 minutes) - Solo work is best. If sending group work, please indicate who to watch for. Demonstrating partnering is a plus.
  • video link of improvisation in silence (maximum 2 minutes)
  • video link to personal statement (maximum 1 minute) please detail where you are in your dance career and your interest in NW Dance Project

Vimeo video links are preferred.
