Front Desk Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Front Desk Assistant covers the front desk and studio during adult classes, youth dance programs, and additional special events at NW Dance Project. Duties include customer services such as checking-in students, handling payments, and maintaining student records, as well as general office work such as answering phones, relaying messages and fielding questions.

This position requires excellent organizational and customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with detailed accuracy and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with agility. Ample knowledge of dance vocabulary and proficiency with standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary. Light studio maintenance/cleaning also required.

The Front Desk Assistant is friendly, warm, and inviting to all individuals that come into the studio and works well with other staff members. They are reliable, show initiative, and can take on a variety of administrative tasks.

The Front Desk Assistant collaborates closely with the Education Coordinator, reports to the Artistic and Executive Directors, and is supported by multiple experienced team members.

We are currently hiring a part-time position with weekend + evening shifts available.

$16/hr training/start + access to free dance classes and studio space use; $17/hr after two-month introductory period; subsequent raises based on performance/merit reviews.

Employer matched 401k after one year.
