Kitty Sailer

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Kitty Sailer has a strong background in arts administration, fundraising, and dance. Most recently she led institutional giving and event management at BodyVox, giving her deep familiarity with Portland’s arts community and the relationships that sustain it. Previously, as General Manager of Kinespirit Gyrotonic & Pilates Studios, she led a team of movement experts and administrators in cultivating wellness oases in New York City and Portland, OR.

Kitty earned an MFA in Dance from the University of Utah and danced professionally for six years with Headwaters Dance Company in Missoula, Montana. She taught dance, improvisation, composition, Laban/Bartenieff movement analysis, and dance history, and continues to teach movement through Pilates and the Gyrotonic Method. She received a BA from Vassar College, after dancing with Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre for four years.

As Managing Director of NW Dance Project, Kitty will work closely with our Artistic Director, Sarah Slipper, our staff, and the Board to continue to strengthen the organizational foundation supporting NW Dance Project’s artistic and educational work. She will take a leading role in fundraising, organizational management, and financial oversight as we steer the company into the future.
