Olivia Parent has danced since she was three-years-old or as her mom likes to say; out of the womb. She recently moved back to Portland after being away for a bit after graduating from Pacific University in Oregon with her Bachelor's in Dance. As an undergrad, she had an emphasis on creating accessible & safe dance spaces for all dancers. She taught at NDI New Mexico and interned at Playground LA in the two years she had been away. She has trained with the Mark Morris Dance Company, in Brooklyn NY during a summer intensive as well as being trained in many styles including; ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and improvisation. She specializes in teaching contemporary floorwork, passionate dance-fusion classes and children’s creative movement. Lastly, she attended the National Dance Education Conference fall of 2022 where she took all the Dance and Disability classes that have informed her current teaching and career goals. Her biggest goal is to make dance accessible to all children and give back to the dance community by planting seeds of passion.
