NW Dance Project Seeks Part-Time Dance Instructors
NW Dance Project invites Portland-based, professional dance instructors to apply for part-time teaching positions for both youth (ages 4 to 18) and adult (ages 13+) programs.
NW Dance Project seeks collaborative, dynamic and innovative artists and educators to teach classes in hip hop, contemporary and/or ballet. A successful candidate will have at least two to five years experience in teaching all levels in one or several dance discipline. We require at least a one-year commitment from instructors.

2024-25 YOUTH HIP HOP TEACHER
NW Dance Project is looking for a dedicated and reliable individual with high-energy and a passion for sharing their love of movement to help bolster our Hip Hop program. Includes 2-4 classes per week depending on availability. Evening and Saturday availability required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Well-versed in multiple hip hop styles
- Experience working in a pre-professional setting
- Passionate about helping kids reach their full potential
- Ability to work with a variety of ages and abilities
- Comfortable engaging with young dancers and parents while creating a welcoming, nurturing and challenging learning environment
- Must commit, at least, to a full academic year (SEP - JUN)
- Weekend availability required
- Develop strong choreography for two shows throughout the year
- Attendance at special performances is required
